Coming up with decades worth of falsified documents personal references is possible, but it's no easy feat. http://dasbut.com Posted 6/5/2017 7:46 pm
I don't need to worry, I have no convictions Unregistered Posted 6/5/2017 7:51 pm

I'm familiar what's called in, the most worrisome is the financial investigation... but I've been pretty good at building up credit and paying off previous credit delinquency.
The important thing is that I need to focus on passing my LSAT... it's the best route we have to counter-suing Jerry flattum and Akins. I just need you guys with me on this one. :sovietman: Unregistered Posted 6/5/2017 8:23 pm
I am available to be a character witness and will try very hard not to mention gribs or dick sucking fish during testimony.

Such a glut of lawyers today. I Doubt you will end up in Harvard Law. Dig yourself 150k in debt for some shitty 50-60K job.

You can increase your earning potential by becoming a local politician and taking bribes. Unregistered Posted 6/5/2017 8:40 pm
Document reviewers are lucky to break 20 bucks an hour, even in big cities. Fast food in big cities pays $15 now. Lawyers are a dime a dozen and lots of work gets outsourced too.
The glut is even lowering salaries for top graduates. Unless you have family with connections or are a real genius it is dead field, but I'm sure you did your homework. Unregistered Posted 6/5/2017 8:48 pm
Pro-tip: In whiplash cases throw your briefcase on the floor of the courtroom behind the plaintiff. This will cause him to suddenly turn around in alarm, proving the neck brace is just a fraudulent ruse. The black woman judge will gasp and then smile as your client is vindicated.

Good luck, bro.
Check out this article though, too: http://tuckermax.me/why-you-should-not-go-to-law-school-3/ Unregistered Posted 6/5/2017 8:57 pm
I think you have to be mentally ill today to take out loans for law school. Maybe if someone pays the freight. I would suggest a fucking coding bootcamp, a great portfolio and 1 out 200 jobs you apply to will probably take you for the same salary or more than the lawyer. In the worst case you are out a few grand, not 150K.
Perhaps the most important thing for you to understand, there are NOT an unlimited number of jobs out there that start at $140,000/year. In fact, there aren’t many at all, and pretty much ALL of them go to kids who come from the Top 15 law schools. Beyond that, the overall legal job market has dried up, even the low paying jobs. They aren’t going to tell you any of this at law school recruitment receptions; in fact schools continue to tell prospective students the opposite, which is why more and more of them are being sued for fraud. I cannot be any clearer about this: You are not guaranteed a job out of any law school, much less a job that pays six figures. Unregistered Posted 6/5/2017 9:04 pm
Well put. I am someone who did law school for one semester years ago. :frown: Probably doing a coding bootcamp here in Chicago this summer. :hmmm: Unregistered Posted 6/5/2017 9:08 pm
Here is another scarier one, from the American Bar Association. They tell you to think twice:
https://www.americanbar.org/content/dam/aba/migrated/lsd/legaled/value.authcheckdam.pdf It is not getting better either. Any employment and wages are based on the labor pool. There isn't even close to a shortage of lawyers. They are piled like deadwood from the last decade. There may be a more of a shortage for Fast Food or Farm workers. 40% of lawyers make under 60K, from the mouth of the bar association. They also have ungodly debt. I can show you ads where they pay wages in the teens. Hey Mr Butt, aren't you a white man? Unless you are a minority, woman, tri-sexed, backside vagina, whatever, your chances are even lower today. Used to be a game for white men, no fucking more. That is why women were kept out of the workforce, to reduce competition. I don't know what career to suggest today though. The ni$$er filpping burgers in a NYC mcdonalds could be smarter than the law grad. Pay $15 bucks an hour, probably tuition reimbursement for a public insitution. In a few years if he is smart he could become a regional manager making more than a lawyer.
The lawyer wasted 7 years, has $200K in debt from grad and undergrad, and is going to work in some poorly lit basement where he has to punch a clock before he takes a shit redacting pdfs for Schlomo for $18/hr :( Moderator Posted 6/5/2017 9:15 pm
Are your wife's family or dad lawyers? Sounds to me like you have some connections you'd like to exploit. Unregistered Posted 6/5/2017 9:17 pm
If he has connections that is a whole other can of worms. if your dad or uncle has a law firm you could get all Ds in law school and have a great job. Unregistered Posted 6/5/2017 9:19 pm
Butt should consider a paralegal career. They do very well, some of the good ones can make the same as lawyers. The good part is you need a few classes.
Law school is a big scam, in the old days people worked with a lawyer, got paid and took the bar. Usually though it was reserved for brilliant people or wealthy. Law didn't really change much. Some states allow you to sit for the bar without school. Unregistered Posted 6/5/2017 9:22 pm
I think those TV shows in the late 90s pushed people into law. Ali McBeal, LA Law, etc. They are a true as superman.
