In the movie trailer he is able to speak well and with minimal shaking. In the Jane Pauley interview he looks like he has a bad case of delirium tremens (DTs) from alcohol withdrawal. He has said he was an alcoholic after the diagnosis and maybe he’s still drinking.

Yes, recreational drugs are bad.  Not much upside to them.  

For instance, almost everyone who uses cocaine ends up having heart problems.  Many people who use marijuana end up having psychological problems to go along with their lung and mouth cancers.

I’ve seen people with late stage Parkinson’s, and his severe tremors and tics are par for the course.  He likely takes a cocktail of drugs to battle the disease and drinking alcohol with them would have killed him long ago.
