Nature doesn't like that and the virus tries to revert back to its natural form. Plus we are not chickens. We have a much more advanced and diverse immune system. The original strain gave us a pretty decent antibody build better adapted to handle new strains or variants. Very few unvaccinated people have caught covid twice and because of flaky test at first (by design) many unvaxed didn't actually have it when the test said they did. That's better than it even sounds. Because coronaviruses and rhinoviruses cause the common cold and constantly changes we usually don't build up good long lasting defense but again covid isn't natural. The comedian Bill Burr said the vax must be safe because they wouldn't kill off the sheep, the compliant ones and he may be more right than he knows. The plan may have been to kill the unvaxxed by the leaky vax causing variants that kills the unvaxxed. Read about Marek's disease to see what I'm babbling about.
