So much is strange in this post.

Harvard and Yale are not good places o get unegraduate education, especially for white kids.  You get a diploma that makes it much easier to get hired by body shops that wants all their consultants to have brand name degrees, such as Boston Consulting Group. But you don't really learn anything useful that you'd expect a college graduate to know, and the HR at large corporations that hire directly, as opposed to body shops, know this well, and rarely hire entry-level candidates Yale or Harvard bachelors degrees. Unless they're "diversity" candidates, of course.

Princeton is still a reputable undergaduate program. If he can get in, and you can afford to pay, sure, why not. Still, a lot of people who can afford it, and can get in, still figure that a state school is better for them.

If you don't plan to attend graduate school, and you get admitted to Harvard undergrad, you should go.  Harvard has some of the best financial aid, including outright tuition waiver and grants for middle-income families.

However, if you plan to attend graduate school, you'll be better off establishing a record as a standout top undergrad somewhere else, THEN attending Harvard for graduate school (as long as it has a good-enough program in your area of interest).
