Will they even be able to find 300,000 people?

If they send out notices to 300,000 and only 100,000 show up, are they really going to hunt down the 200,000 who skipped out?

They can't equip that many for the front lines, but they are probably hoping to use them as police in the occupied territories.

They don't even have enough equipment for the troops they've already got.  The newbies will take months to train.  If they try to put these new guys up against the NATO-armed Ukrainians, it'll  be a slaughter.

The only thing that arrested Soviet retreat and army dissolution in WWII was submachine gun equipped blocker units.

Russia will clear out its prisons. It is trying to entice immigrants who are willing to “prove” their patriotism.

Most of the mobilization will consist of reservists though who are undoubtedly more motivated and capable than their undertrained, underequipped regular army counterparts.

Thats when a line of tactical nukes comes into play. The same playbook the US was considering for Japan. Heavy toll in losses, a quick end to the war.

They are sending the anti-war protestors straight to the front lines. I'm sure they will be sure to fight patriotically for Russia and not shoot their commanders or simply defecting to Ukraine.

In Ussuriysk, a 62-year-old trauma doctor - who in theory does not qualify for mobilization - was summoned. His furious wife refused to take the document. The mobilization staff then went to the clinic where he worked, 'posing as patients', and handed him the summons to the war. He was given four hours to pack and leave, it was reported.

Photos and videos have also emerged of airports crowded with young men and heavy traffic near border crossings, driven by fears the country might lock down and send more civilians to war. Pictured: Queues of cars trying to get out of Russia form on the country's border with Georgia hours after Putin announced mobilization.

Some people had allegedly already been turned back from Russia's land border with Georgia and that the website of the state Russian railway company collapsed because too many people were checking for ways out of the country.

In addition to threatening to self-harm, other ploys included men seeking to wed women with multiple children. Anna, a Muscovite, 46, said: 'A friend, a single mother of five was proposed to on Thursday. She laughed so hard when she told me about it, and said looks like she will be super popular in the near future.' Anna continued: 'It seems men with three or more children will not be mobilized.'

A man from Krasnoyarsk in Siberia seeking to fly abroad via at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow said on Thursday: 'There were 40 summonses issued on Wednesday among the people I knew. The lists must have been prepared well in advance.' There were queues up to five hours long on routes from Russia into Finland, which has massively restricted those allowed entry.
