I doubt it. There's absolutely no intellectual or cultural impetus for this turnaround. 1) Most of the intellectuals in the Republican party have abandoned Trump or are vehemently opposed to him. No Laffer of Laffer curve fame, no neocons claiming that a conservative is a liberal who's been mugged, etc. 2) In the early '80s, there was a cultural shift (a sort of nihilism, exemplified by Mission of Burma's first EP), which allowed for Reagan to be elected. Nothing like that is happening today. Expect things to remain the same this time next year. Donald Trump is a dead end. Unregistered Posted 1/21/2016 3:17 am

Reminder: Dumbasses like this guy don't make a revolution. Intellectuals do.
And there’s Vince DiSylvester, a retired maintenance worker in Missouri, who, at 73, said has never cast a ballot for president. But Trump has inspired him to rethink that. "He's a businessman, he knows business, he knows how to get things done," he said. "And he tells it like it is. If you don't like it - well, too bad." http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSMTZSAPEC1H40WMLD Unregistered Posted 1/21/2016 3:41 am
