You need fiber and fermented stuff in your diet.
I was just posting about this yesterday as my lifetime streak of 1x/day shit has broken down post 50.
You need to eat foods with lots of fiber, and foods with lots of roughage, and fermented things like sauerkraut and things with live cultures, like yogurt.
Or you can take a fiber supplement in place of high-fiber foods, but you really need the fermented/live culture stuff to really get the mail moving.

Eating yogurt and taking metamucil.  Not helping.  Started a low carb diet a few months ago which is probably contributing but I've tried to take measures to avoid a shitting problem.  I've lost nearly 50 pounds in 3 months somehow even though I barely shit. One night a week I drink a little whiskey and the next day is when I usually have my weekly crap.
