It will be bad enough when the government misses ONE Social Security payday and EBT/Welfare payment distribution.

After TWO or THREE missed months, there will be serial murders, cannibalism, and rampant unchecked jaywalking.  People may not miss the defunded police, but they'll get tired of the easy arson made possible when firefighters quit for lack of pay.  We had better hope that China plans well enough BEFORE the invasion so as to ensure the smoothest possible transfer of power and services.
