Topic: Question for Medical Doctors only. Chest Tightness. Medical Doctors only please.

I have been getting chest tightness when I try to jog a mile.

But lately I have tried warming up real slowly by walking a mile. After warming up, I can then jog three miles with no chest discomfort.

I think this points more to Fitness level rather than heart issues?

:hmmm:

Don’t fucking jog. A brisk walk will give you the cardio you need, without the trauma to the ankles and knees and heart. Jogging is for homos.

Looks ! I jogs!

Cycling is much better.  Do it a fixed gear bike and it's 4 times better.

you can do the exercise machines.  jogging is about at least 150 heart beats per minute.   i've found about 120 heart beats per minute gives you a really peaceful mellow feeling after.  ordinary walking is about 90 beats per minute

120 is the sweet spot.  that's about 5 mph on the treadmill.  exactly half way between walking and jogging

you can do the other machines like the precor stepping machines it takes sort of an conscious effort to keep it at 120 bpm, unless you turn resistance up

Most people??! Never heard of hiatal hernia.

I think I would be vomiting all over the place if I had that and I wouldn't be able to jog with a hernia.

I am not really jogging. I am going really SLOW.

Practically walking. And I still got the chest tightness.

But it went away after I warmed up really extra slow walking.

Then I was able to jog SLOW for few miles with no chest tightness.

This points to Fitness issue rather than heart issue.

just your chest muscles loosening up

if it was angina it would NOT go away when you run harder

I'm the only doctor here.

You have Cardiac GRIBS.

The latter makes sense, given that:
(1) I had chest discomfort when jogging slow for one mile.
(2) Walked really slow for 15 minutes.
(3) Resumed jogging at the same slow pace as in  (1) and had no chest discomfort for three miles (much longer distance than the painful  one mile earlier).

But I don't know what the fuck "chest muscles loosening up" means.
