Out in the middle of nowhere you drive and drive.

Then you start seeing light off in the distance.

It's a town but as you daydream it is a solar system as you travel in deep space.

Off in the distance you see a flashing yellow light.

If you are lucky there may be an 24 hour service station.

Some lone person working the overnight shift.

Doing prep work in-between customer's.

When I am driving far, I might listen to a long continuous mix that I dont normally have a solid 90 mins to listen to, outside of laying in bed trying to sleep.  Maybe it is something old and special, maybe it is something new Im taking a chance on and it turns out great.

So it is fun to actually go on the listening journey, and road-tripping is where it happens.

You are definitely in a spaceship at night, flying between outposts.

Used to love listening to Art Bell while driving through the desert at night.

Was about to say the same thing.  I'll never forget driving my '86 GMC Suburban across Montana in the middle of the night, drinking coffee, smoking a cigar and listening to :artbell:
