Topic: Fucked by ebay

So I bought an item on eBay and used the 'checkout as guest' option on PayPal. Paid for the item, but never received it. Now when I click "track this item", I get a login page. If I log into it with my ebay account, I get the dumbest fucking error:

Critical error. You are neither the buyer or the seller.

Now I'm fucked.

Yeah there is. I just used it. You just enter a credit card and that's that.

Click "buy it now", then "continue as guest"

Hopefully you didn't use a debit card because if you did, you're fucked.  If you used a credit card, the company can place a hold on the charge and investigate your claim.  They have the power to reverse the charge to paypal and credit you back the $.  Call them.  Call them now.....

You know, eBay has a fee for getting by eBay, right?

I still find the best bargains there, especially for obscure stuff that few know about.

yes, a few of them.  Some are for reference.  Some are to sell for profit.

I have about 1000 books in a 1 bedroom apartment.

The scarcity leads to crazy prices most of the time for books.

I collect books about a specific painter. There's one book that is commonly available there for $60 and no one ever buys it at that price. Once every year or so, someone will list it for $10.

Another book has similar pricing and suddenly a guy listed twenty of them there for $5 a piece.

I think the book dealers are just not able to figure out the real price for a thousands of books they have so they randomly guess.

You have no problem at all, moron.  Call your credit card company and dispute the transaction.

Note, though, that if this item is coming from out of the country, especially China, it can take 2-6 weeks, depending.  You didn't buy an international item did you?
