I've been to all sorts of places - I'm still the same person I always was.

You seem to think that there is some sort of magic associated with going to various places - and there is - it makes your money disappear.

There is...but have fun on your road trips to Michigan. I'm sure the historic Cracker Barrels along the way are quite the hoot.

I don't travel anymore. Got all of that out of my system when I was in my 30s. I used to drive over 30,000 miles a year.

Nowadays I am happy to get back home after a trip to the store.

I notice that the tracks for mining cars have a center rail.  Anyone know the purpose of this?  Was it for increased track rigidity or something?

likely it was a cog railway where a gear would connect with the center track so the rail car would not slide rapidly down the tracks

It's weird that the Inidan guys never grew beards at all. Don't East Asian men have beards?

Some do, but Whites migrated into East Asia 5000 years ago and so you have a lot of White genetic admixture from the Tocharians and the Seres:

The ancestors of the North American Indians immigrated to North America thousands of years before Whites reached East Asia circa 3500 BC.

The North American Indian's closest cousins in Asia are the Siberian Asiatic  Altaic tribes like the Buryats, Yakuts, Nenets, Evenks, etc:

15 thousand years of inhabiting the land before Euros showed up makes them quite native in my books.
