And the scary thing is, if you really properly understand physics, one conclusion seems inescapable: Effect is EVERYWHERE yet cause is something of an illusion.
It's really fucking weird. You live this life thinking its a chain of events, but physics tells a different story. Your life is more like a trace function through an interacting cloud of outcomes.
My money is, when you die, you wake up in the same life where you didn't die. Hence, the longer you live, the more complete your trace function gets. Until it's exhausted (assuming it's a closed system that follows the laws of thermodynamics). And what's the point? Who the fuck knows. I'm just glad that truck that was supposed to T-bone me in 2001 missed me by inches. I'm pretty sure my mashed guts in another previous outcome made this reality possible.
The human mind is wired to see connections between cause and effect. The problem is that this same ability to come up with all these different technologies and tools works against him in regards to religion.
If I say, "Saint Anthony, please help me find my car keys." and then I go and look, when I find them clearly the saint intervened on my behalf.
If you pray for money, it shows that is what you want more than anything. You're more likely to go out and seek it. But then you give God the glory.
The most beautiful thing is that God gets all the credit and none of the blame. If it doesn't work, it was God's will or you were asking selfishly.

Of course it can be ruled out. They don't just hand-wave. They actually believe in a giant sky fairy. And the giant sky fairy lives in a "heaven". There's a giant sky fairy enemy, the giant sky demon who lives in a "hell". Angels and demons. And they fight over "souls".

But I also think athiesm is an untestable position since it makes a definite claim about the absence of a guiding intelligence. What if we just have an incomplete understanding of relationships? By saying athiesm is the correct position, you also say the only correct understanding of existence is that has no authorship. But there's ZERO proof to support that conclusion, and it IS a conclusion.
The only scientifically sound position one can make is that there is no proof of a grander intelligence, or an author, but it's within the realm of possibility, and therefore to discount it is to make a definite conclusion about the nature of things absent of evidence. I find athiesm to be downright unscientific.

Yet declaring a definite lack of existence of an author or a guiding intelligence is a conclusion about existence that also requires evidence. It requires ruling out any possibility of a grander intelligence when we can't even concretely rule out precisely how the rules of existence still even fit together.

An agnostic doesn't have to prove the existence of God. He cares as much about God's existence as he cares about the Twilight series. Which is to say, fuck all.
An athiest on the other hand, has to prove that a God, could never, nor will ever, nor ever has existed. To do this requires a complete understanding of all physical laws that as of today are still incomplete.

Uh, no. The entire idea of MAGIC (which a "guiding intelligence" is) is farcical and falls into the realm of an OUTRAGEOUS CLAIM. So evidence is required. Wait, you don't have any of that. So you're fucking WRONG.
