The whole show is fixed what you think you can go to a storage auction and buy a his and her's practically brand new Harley's under a tarp worth $40.000.00+ cause the people who owned them forgot to pay their monthly storage fees?

I've done a few storage lockers in my time. I've never found worthwhile material. Gold? Silver? Guns? Dream on.
You end up getting 1 or 2 storage lockers a month that you can make $100-$200 of profit on, each. You can only succeed at that level, because there are huge crowds of morons who watched too much "Storage Wars" who come out and routinely overbid 100%-200%. You lose auctions to them constantly, and they lose their asses, to be quickly replaced with another pack of morons who watched the show and are ready to overbid, again reducing you to only 1 to 2 carefully won units per month.
And there are all the crooks who have already locked down most storage-unit places with contracts. You never see those units come up for auction since those guys behind the scenes have already bought them up. They end up repackaging the crap into shitboxes that they sell off in their own auction houses. It's a pure garbage dump on rubes in the audience thinking they'll find something in the already thoroughly picked-through stuff.
Outside the crooks who already locked down most of the available storage units, there's almost no way to make a living doing this sort of thing, and that goes double for having a store, which compared to the profits is an almost lethal level of overhead.

Oh, there are barriers to entry, meaning barriers to success. You have to know what you're looking at, and how much you can re-sell it for. That's the same with all re-sale types of business.
The problem with these storage units is that there are so many morons packing each auction that the overbidding is totally ridiculous. This is the golden age for the auctioneers. THEY love it. They are getting overpaid like a bastard. But for the bidders? This is the dark age.
I've been at site auctions where the auctioneers don't even work for their money. They gold the auction, collect the money, and then watch people steal other people's stuff right out the front door (everything is marked with a number, plainly visible), and just shrug when the victims howl about site control. Of course they just shrug. They already got paid.

By the way, if these people or this show are so terrible, corrupt, evil, whatever the FUC* adjective fits your entitled and superior beliefs, then you are simply idiots for even watching and letting it "ruin" television. The best thing you can do is NOT WATCH, or NOT KNOW anything about this show and the ratings will drown it. The fact that so many criticize the "Liar", the "redfaced alcoholic", the "Whore", the "drug dealing convict", and the "old Jew". Means you all have enough time to research the same individuals you "despise"..... I think that it is a strange that you give such exposure to people you don't want to see. Ignore and pretend they're not there if you're serious. I like the show... and think it's awesome that you all say these things because sadly, much like the Kardashians, you are perpetuating a television show by bashing it and giving it awareness.

I'm a fan. Not that it matters because you already know I am Dave Hester... wow,(emphasizes my original post). By all means however, keep the posts coming, all it means is I will see Storage Wars keep coming...
That "makes perfect sense" when I'm trying to tell you all to spend this useless energy bashing a show and publisizing it when you could spend more time spreading awareness on a good cause rather than being bitter and trying to remove something that is so easy to ignore....
So you're noble cause is "enlightening" people not to think this a viable career??? Do you go on Ice Road Truckers or Deadliest Catch and spew your unnatural hatred which is disguised as "intelligence"? Get a life.
If that is what keeps this thread going, SURE. No one on my end is upset. I'm just letting you know all know there are different and better ways of removing a show... The crazy thing to me is how much you all know about the characters that the show doesn't even reveal, and you "hate" the show? As a fan, I learnt more from this "hate" "message board", or whatever term someone wants to replace with blog to describe this site.
