And what they "find" is salted. The shit they pull out of there is obviously planted stuff.

That older dude is just a friend of Thom Beers who already made all of his money. He does it purely for fun.

From what I've read they don't touch the lockers prior to filming, but they have to film a lot shit that doesn't make it in.

Yes, and that's truly minimal overhead. Often, no overhead. A storefront in California? Inspectors crawling up your ass for everything? The overhead's gotta be significant.

In my little corner of the world, I caught wind of a local lady doing the same sort of shit, and she was dropping $1500/mo for the store rent, and then blew through $500/mo for each of natural gas and electricity. $2500/mo for running some "ehhh" thrift shop in the fucking flyover? And that's without paying yourself to live, and your laborers? What a loser. So I can only imagine how that "store" for the crook and his stripper whore costs each month.

That explains why he destroys half of the stuff as he digs through it.

He's a filthy Kike and that's the end of his story.

Hired Hester to appraise my recently deceased grandmothers estate which was at a storage facility. Hester lied and stated he was licensed, bonded and insured as an appraiser which he is not. Hester arrived at the storage facility and indicated he forgot his "LOOP" and that the lighting was not good enough to make the appraisal at the facility and would have to take the complete estate to his warehouse in Orange to make a proper legal appraisal. He took the property the next day and sold it at his auction house for at total of $5,000 when the property was worth, according to Hester when he first gave me an EDUCATED guess what the estate might be worth, $60,000.00. Hester did not have permission to sell any of the estate let alone did not have a written or verbal contract. He tells the police that we had a verbal contract which placed the complaint into a civil matter rather than criminal. When he auctioned the estate off he apparently had a private auction with just his friends and let his friends buy the property for next to nothing and then Hester would buy back the property from his friends and resell the property at a different auction house in a different county. I filed a civil suit against Hester in the Orange County Superior Courts in California and he indicated that he would file bankruptcy if I were to get a judgement against him which would wipe out my money judgement. Hester also never gave me any of the proceeds that he collected but instead sent me a bill for $5000 for wrapping and packaging up the estate to be taken to his warehouse.

I believe every word of that. That's how too many people "do business". They get in through some detail or loophole in your trust, and then fuck you in the ass as hard as they can.

. said:I'm guessing he closed it because he's an arrogant shitty businessman who's way over his head running a business with huge overhead that requires massive turnover selling lots of junk.

It seems like a huge flawed business model that would be prone to all kinds of sudden cash flow interruptions.

The only way to do this the right way is to have a small business front like Brandi and Jarrod which has minimal overhead that you can cover even during lean months.

The only way to do it is like the the guys in the other storage show - your whole business is in a milk truck, and you make your money by flipping your finds quickly to an established list of contacts.

carrying used merch in a brick and mortar store with a monthly vig is a guaranteed money loser.

he does outsourced auctions now. he doesn't sell crap. that's why he may not be on the next season of the show as well. the producers don't think he's going to buy anything since he has no place to sell it.

wow, I thought that bluster was only an act for the show...

The dopiest salt job was the little BMW that the old Jew "found."

C'mon...that was faker than a James Marks child support check. Even the reactions were amazingly cheesy and staged.

Hester claims he made money on that locker full of books is complete BULLSHIT. There is no market for used books. Libraries are unloading millions of books. They can't get rid of them.
.

How about the lockerfull of newspapers that was worth $70,000?

"THESE THINGS GO FOR FIVE-SIX DOLLARS EACH AND I HAVE 15,000 of them."

Hey, if he actually tries, he might well 1/3rd of the collection over 5 years on eBay for an average of $1/book. So yes, if he did that, he'd "make money". But if he paid somebody to do it for him, he lost his fucking shirt.

And 2/3rds of the collection would still hit the incinerator.

So you're pretty much right.

The TV these days is always trying to convince you to be a moron with money. No need to blame Bush for that.

:whoa:, I watched HGTV back in the 2005. Take a 10$ gallon of paint and paint the kitchen...your house just increased in value by $30,000. Dont be a hatez.
