No, Ms Logan does not need (and even more so does not HAVE to)do or say anything about it. If she does, this is remarkable, and always appreciated, but there is no reason why she should say ANYTHING, unless this helps her, or unless she feels it can help other victims. This will never define her, but her altruism and her dignity do and will.
She should know she is REALLY cool. A very impressive, very special, amazing person.
I really think that one decent post of mine is worth 10-20 nasty posts by lousy trolls. After all no one would look at this forum as a gate of decency. At least I hope so. So, I will continue, I think.
No, this is not about the pictures, or anything else of the sort. I am here, I like her, I can just as well say something positive. Does not really cost me anything.

I sure hope this thread does not go quietly into the night. Yes we have to put up with the trolls, and Nazis, porn and that picture of Anderson Cooper's ass trying to get a headline. All that aside I have learned so much by the posting of articles I would have never found on the Internet myself. If this thread dies the conversation dies good or bad it still needs to be talked about, it's not about the pictures or the conspiracy or even Lara's privacy it's more than that. I am now acutely aware of the plight of female journalists and Muslim women suffering the brutality of Islamic law. Lara has said her best work is yet to come only time will tell but history will show by breaking her silence she put a spotlight on the worldwide brutality of women our Lara is not a victim she survived it was a blessing she speaks about it we are enlightened. I don't know if Lara will ever read these words but in the off chance that someone she knows does tell her not to stop, there'll always be the trolls and the perverts but women worldwide especially Muslim women need her voice. I like to think some day in the future that history will show that on February 11 the mob picked on the wrong journalist.

Somebody should put together a Lara Logan Egypt assault 1 year anniversary convention with Lara Logan as the special guest. Also invite Max McClellan, Ray the security guy and Temoris Grecko. There should be a Q and A session, a reenactment of the events, let Lara and Temoris argue about what. Max should have to reenact his famous getting on his knees and apologizing, then everybody throw eggs at him.

The only thing that can end this thread is the actual footage of what happened. Everybody here can deny it, but people keep this thread alive hoping that somebody finds the footage. The footage is very important (not just for jerking off) because it will actually prove all along who was telling the truth. You have all these different versions of what happened from the fat kid, Lara Logan full report part 2, Temoris Grecko, Rue89, and Lara Logan herself. If people believed in her story, this thread would have ended in May. She herself have stated that cellphone pictures were taken. You know the old saying "a picture is worth a thousand words". If people actually saw what happened, then we would know whose story was correct.
That is just hurtful and cynical what you write. It is not even remotely funny.
It always the same: Real humor is not about mocking other people. It is about mocking yourself. Where do you take yourself not too seriously? Nowhere. You just laugh at the others. Laugh at yourself for one minute. It will do you wonders.
Posting links to a related articles as they become available would be an appropriate use. The thread could become a portal for links related to harassment in Egypt, gender issues in the Mideast, etc., and discussion about the content within those links.
Maybe. But it sounds so boring what you wrote. So...normal. Nothing what you suggest has not been done already elsewhere. What is the "secret" of this thread? That it is about normal things?
I don't think so. I think this thread needs its visceral quality. Its outsider-touch. And that has to translate to the themes too.
So think again what this thread could be. But think a little harder. I will be listening to what you suggest.
Woman of the Year? no! She only gets my vote if she gives a detailed account of what happened, go back to Egypt and call out the government for what they did.
