I've never understood why James does that, and he's been doing it since FC. It doesn't bother the person he says it to, no one ever believes him and it doesn't accomplish anything. Yet he prances around like he's won some kind of victory, every time.

All I can think of is that it deflects from whatever ownage Man-Boi-Marks is currently suffering from. And most people take the bait.

eg: "James, remember when you betrayed your best friend by fucking his little girl?"

It's almost as if he is trying to make others assume responsibility for all his fuck ups in life.

It's for a psychiatrist to figure out. And I doubt he'll ever change; it's a pattern of behaviour so firmly ingrained.
