Logic would dictate that if I'm using the drug legally and not more than I'm supposed to then this shouldn't be an issue if I have a pre-employment drug screening.
I was actually trying not to take any, and I had been good for about 2 weeks, but I broke down today.
Ironically, this has caused me more anxiety after I took it.

Americans crow about freedom yet they love the Reagan/Bush assholes that want to strip them of every right and protection they have.
Your country is a third world joke. Every single Euro laughs at you.
Yup in all the jobs I've had I've only had a medical evaluation once and that was to test if I was allergic to penicillin (the job was in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility).
Upset? Laughing my ass at Murricans that beg to get shit on, son.
Enjoy living in your non-air conditioned rented apartment next to a growing population of Arabs and eating canned meat or fish and warm Pepsi for dinner, if you're lucky.
I'll pee in a cup for the priviledge of living here. Mkay?
When you stop working at your dad's hardware store, you're going to have a rude awakening.
I'm an attorney. Most White collar jobs would never think of drug screening. They would eliminate half of their talent pool.
You're obviously not an attorney in the right area. I know for a fact that Microsoft, Google, and Symantec screen at least their senior engineers/drug test. As I've worked at all 3, for multiple year stints.

I've never heard of a law firm that drug tests. I was with a friend of mine from law school last night at a concert and he took a drag of a joint that was going around and he is a Deputy District Attorney.
They might do it in Alabama but not in the Big Metro Areas.

I'm sure you're a biglaw guy and all. Boats, supermodels, etc.
But for those of us who have worked in lame-o fields (software) and smaller metropolitan areas (San Francisco, Seattle), many of those software companies test their senior guys. And I'm sure it's not a profiling-based thing, as I'm the most baldingest, shortest, beta manlet milton around

Nope not a big law guy, but I have worked at a few bigger firms in LA and never a drug test. Lawyers love drugs.

If he already has a job, that's different.
We're not talking about random drug tests, we're talking about pre-employment drug tests.

What privilege? Just what the fuck is so great about living in the US?
