I have only obsessed over two albums in my life -

Van Halen's 1984, which came out when I was about 12.

Dire Straits' Brother in Arms, which came out when I was 14.

I had these on cassette (for my Walkman!) and wore out multiple tapes of these albums.

Ramones - ramones

in its simplicity it was a defining album and an album that still gets played today and never gets stale. Commercials are made even today with songs from that album.

There has been no other band since that can replicate the childish three chord simplicity of this band.
