You hit it spot on. While tries to prove his manliness by crying about fags buying Apple products, technically the iPad misses a large group of users by failing to provide Flash support. Most webpages will not be rendered correctly on it.

It should also have a basic slots to handle SD at minimum.

There was a company featured on Techcrunch a while back that had an LCD screen that was transflective, color, and kind of had e-ink capabilities as well. I will try and find the link. They were big at CES 2009. The screen uses next to no power in transflective mode. THAT is what the iPad should have had for a screen.

I like my Kindle DX, however it is no better to read than the Sony PRS 500 eReader I've had for years. I also own, use and like Apple products, including an iPhone, but this announcement was nothing more than a thinly veiled 'fuck you' to the buying public, and tacit acknowledgement that Apple are just fizzy drink salesmen. Watching the keynote was sickening, and made me embarassed for Jobs.

What the iPad HAS done, is tipped me over the edge in recognising the rampant faggotry the brand represents, and the shortsighted fad following image I must portray by using their products.

This device has a form factor targeted toward the Kindle market. The iPhone's interface is good for navigation, but not as useful for books. And the lack of Flash support is a deal killer.
