Not mentioned is the 600,000 illegal spic shitbags in Vegas.
Sorry Bryce, but the illegals didn't decide to build the multibillion dollar resorts.
Yeah, and they also don't put a strain on their host cities, since education, welfare, policing, healthcare and all the other costs they impose are free.

We'll build a service economy based on gambling, prostitution and boozing! It's a whole new paradigm!

Don't forget prisons!
so fucking true!
soon there will be all kinds of laws so we can get more raw materials (prisioners) to increase productivity (read, hire more guards)
local LA radio hosts John and Ken on KFI are whinning like little school girls about the pending release of some ~27,000 inmates as if everyone of them is gonna go out and hack up and family of 5.
who woulda thunk that those 2 would be in the pocket of the prision guards....and make no mistake once you are in the system those guards do everything in their power to keep you in and add time at every chance......and why not they love the overtime!

I definitely spuoprt wearing a mouth guard. I have seen patients who have broken their front teeth from contact sports and didn't have a mouth guard on. Had they have worn one this could have been prevented. I aslo recommened night guards for patients who grind their teeth at night, as this can be just as harmful causing jaw aches, sensitivity, and grinding the enamel of their teeth away.

Walsh went to the union hall. Some 2,100 journeyman carpenters were on a hiring list; he was No. 963. He brushed off paying the mortgage and bills for two off-road vehicles and a companion trailer. One afternoon, he silenced his phone: "They've all been collections people trying to collect money I don't have."
One morning in May, he walked outside the house, which was stripped of furniture and nearing foreclosure, and wiped his hands on his "Greatest Dad 2007" T-shirt. His dogs, Marley and Riely, followed.
there are many "no wonder you're fucking broke" red flags in that sentence

A lot of circle jerking in this thread. This article is BS. Where the fuck in CA are you going to go? Their unemployment rate is just the same but everything costs significantly more.
Yeah, if you're a working class retard things are rough - that's pretty much all over though. Vegas has world class restaurants, clubs, top notch infrastructure, great weather outside of July/August, housing is dead cheap now, no income tax, simple business taxes/laws, fairly low crime rate given the rowdy tourists and illegals.
It simply needs a broader base of industry and it would be a great city.
any decent hotel room (not a dump) is 200-300 dollars a night..and even then count on getting shitty service
every food joing that isnt a chain is a celebrity place with fucking 25 dollar hamburgers and 25 pizzas...BUT BOBBY FLAY WIPED HIS ASS WITH THIS SHOULD BE 5 DOLLAR HAMBURGER!!!! KETCHUP WILL BE 5 DOLLARS EXTRA!
cops are busting hookers now in the hotels..even the high end ones
flights on any weekend not 3 years away are 400 dollars
Vegas was a get away, food and board were cheap because they knew you would give up the ghost with gambling and booze. I dont see the appeal anymore now that I am paying high ass prices for everything and I can gamble anywhere now.

what happened to affordable Vegas? is it because of all the hype or due to casinos overbuilding and trying to recoup their losses:?
It used to be the acts were there to augment the whole Vegas experience. Now they just go because they're lazy and can't be fucking bothered working and expect a huge payday. The whole point of Vegas *used* to be an affordable vacation that felt glamorous without being prohibitively expensive. Now it's all golf courses, walled gardens and $20,000,000 condos. That's never what Vegas was about.
Rich people should get thar golf courses an mantions
cuz they done make jobs

i love these threads; tales of hubris abound. i particularly liked the bit about sending starbucks tokens in reply to being rejected; seriously, how pathetic is that?
