Those fuckheads did the same thing many times in NYC. It did not affect me, I don't drive, but I have driven around Manhattan and it is nail-biting enough WITHOUT those bastards in the way.
Honestly I always wondered why more prisoners aren't pimped out for slave labor. It's totally on the books as legitimate, and the community can't find fault because they are "paying debts" to society.
I read a story years ago about a school who needed to put a fence up around the perimeter. It was something like $5,000 or something from contractors. Prisoners were hired out from the prison, only on the weekend(s), and did it in less than a month. Fence up, problem solved. Not one dime was used.

The crazy part is, why not at least invest in shit that's been around forever? Burger King, CVS, Target, Foot Locker...whatever. Those are at least franchises that always warrant return customers.
It's easier to discern. A lot of modern-day equipment cannot recreate those sounds from the past - it's like trying to get Deep Purple to re-record one of their records then, versus now. It's just warmer sounding.

Ham radio is so dead-on. Believe it or not, looking at some articles online, there's stories of ham operators actually saving lives, because the information they relay from the coast guard (or similar) has gotten the authorities to where they are in a timely manner, when it comes to those stranded in the sea.
