I worked as a quant developer for a while - it paid about 5 times what I had been earning for my last job (writing molecular simulations for drug discovery - which was much harder). The problem was that after a couple of years I became conivinced that if I had come into work one morning and killed everyone in the building I would have made the world a better place.

These fuckers are all sharks, and the second you cant do anything for them they drop you. It turns out that in my years I have made 2 good real friends in the market, but they arent conniving backstabbing cunts so they never got promoted high enough to give me a job.
