Instead of sounding the alarm and evacuating the workers they left them there and ran to the futures market to profit from it.

That indeed is the truth.

If Obama were a leader he'd announce investigation after investigation.

I hate to sound like a conspiracy nut, but it kind of seems that this entire oil spill was engineered on purpose.

Do something other than pose for photos and eat snow cones.

Is this a real leader? Fuck no.

This should be handled like if an asteroid had recently hit the area. A number one national priority of the highest concern. Does it look to you as if he is treating it as such?

Me neither.

He wouldn't be down in the gulf eating snow cones. If he actually was a real leader, this would be such a priority that he'd be releasing daily press pieces of how he is kicking ass, jailing executives, etc.

If the the relief well they're drilling right now fails then I predict that'll be what they'll do. It might take them some time though and that is disastrous. The african and his jew handlers have totally dropped the ball on this one. They should have all the scientific and engineering resources of the USA racing to deal with this.

I agree. But they have to stick their heads in the sand and pretend that it isn't happening. It's almost a natural, human response, especially...MOST especially, if you are a power-hungry sociopath holding public office.

Now, Obama is down near the gulf, eating seafood, supposedly asking people to come visit. A real leader, eh?

Clean up workers are falling really ill. The counts per molecule are way above EPA allowable standards in waters that appear to be totally clean. A Russian general has asserted that when this shit precipitate from clouds that its evaporated into the entire US SE, Alabama, Fla, La., Georgia etc will have their soil so permanently poisoned that they'll be incapable of growing even the simplest crops. A huge chunk of the US could simply die. Permanent evacuation of at lest 30-60 million people.

They should have nuked the underwater leakage while they had the chance.

Imagine what lifestyles some of these people must lead.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT YOU HAVE A BOAT AND ARE ON A LAKE! THATS SOMEONE ELSE BOAT! IF I CANT HAVE THAT LIFE NOBODY ELSE CAN!

It is possible to swing it if you start hanging out at pizza conventions. You just start getting friendly with a few owners who own a significant number of stores, and they'd hire you if they think you can work the numbers.

Oh certainly. I might try a service related idea but I am not sure. This isn't the place to try to make a career. I am eventually going to move elsewhere where there is a chance of actually making something of yourself.

But you never know. There are good jobs here, just not many of them. I'll keep my mind open. Opportunities tend to crop up in places, and with people, when you least expect.

No, but if Dominos approached me and asked me to be a district manager, I'd seriously consider it.

That is unlikely to happen, though.

When I delivered in southern california, I approached the owner about developing a way to track drivers using GPS. Customers could log on to a website and see where the driver was, shit like that. The owner said it was interesting and asked me to write a proposal, which I did. He didn't do anything with it. About two years later, Dominos came up with a similar system which reinvigorated some of their sales. Had the owner allowed me to develop a system, we could have sold it to some executives and perhaps made some decent dough.

I'd like to TA for the experience. Something different to do. TA for some undergrad marketing class or something. Not sure if I will ever get 'hired'. You know, I have no idea who to talk to about such things, either. I suppose on Monday I should try contacting the department and see if they are in need of other TAs. I'd like to TA for the SAP / Business process class, too. You basically hang around and help people if they get stuck.

Because they are posting in this thread. So, I bring them up and make fun of them, integrating them into the theme of the thread. It's kind of passive aggressive, but it sure pisses them off.

Truly.

In the PMs he had with Michele, Michele was stressing about taking some algebra class to be admitted into a lower level nursing program. Ferret said that such math was hard, he understood why she was stressing, but he could help her out with the more difficult stuff. He then said something about GED math, and how she should get a GED prep book to prepare.

WOW.

. said:Good on you Sean. I am usually skeptical about lengthy grad programs that are not geared toward a professional degree, but in cases like yours where a good portion of the courses are done already (like some undergrad classes count) and there is minor time/money investment, figure why not. It would be a shame not to get the masters under those conditions.

Grad school is usually not that hard to get into and not that hard to finish. Just don't become a grad school fossil, finish the courses fast and keep the momentum up. Don't get caught up in the dramas of the faculty vs grad student wars or the dramas of teaching the undergrads and scoring their papers etc.

hey thanks!

I am wondering if I could get a teaching assistant position this late in the game. I was admitted as a grad student kind of late. I'll have to make some phone calls on Monday and see what my options are.
