Perhaps you will recognize me better if I use the moniker I have used for the past few years. (I like it in the negative posts though, so I don't want to use that up)
However, the dots think they have some sort of mystic power to stalk people off the board - without realizing that all they do is bore the shit out of people when they rant on and on for decades.
I like to rattle people's chain just as much as the next guy, but, if you notice, I do it sparingly. No one really wants to see regs constantly pissing on one another. Thats why I tend to and then just let the person in question rant away. Its more fun that way.
I'm not telling him. I'm suggesting a means with which to prove him wrong. Its quite simple. Leave the thread, and prove Gumby wrong. Without replies, the troll dies.
If you're too delusional to recognize that, then perhaps you should take a break from the keyboard. And since when does thread ownership mean jack shit on this board, or any other board?
Actually I'd say there are about 5-10 angry freaks in general, because there is no way they can cover 24 hours a day with 1 or 2 people. Plus, I'm assuming that they are not coordinating their activities in any way (which may prove to be incorrect)
Everyone has their little chorus of haters. If this were an ancient Greek play, the chorus would consist of people bashing the main characters.
Iceland is rated BBB-/Baa3, which is bordering on junk bond status.
The economy has stalled, and unemployment is high. Things are so bleak in Iceland that many Icelanders are LEAVING Iceland.
If you just want a peaceful fishing village life, then Iceland is a good bet. But Iceland collapses, you won't be able to retain a 1st world lifestyle - with the latest electronics, and a good variety of restaurants.
Basically, take a step back, and see what Iceland provides for the world. They basically export fish and Lazytown. They tried banking & finance, and that blew up. If Iceland can't become a 1st world power in biotech or software, they'll just be a small fishing village.
If the SHTF, you won't be looking for the latest electronics and a good variety of restaurants, you'll be looking for survival.
And there are not a lot of places in the world you can run to in order to escape it.
Switzerland? Possibly, however, they have the same demographic problem as the rest of Europe. No one messes with Switzerland - militarily, but, you can't stop a human wave.
But why would Iceland let you in? Do you own property or have relatives there? Do you have a job lined up? They aren't just going to let you in to become a dragon their social services.
I'm just suggesting it as a reasonable compromise from your list.
Yeah, that region is probably the least stable in the world.
Here's my current list of stable countries:
Australia
Austria
Canada
Denmark
Finland
Germany
Hong Kong
Luxembourg
Netherlands
Norway
Singapore
Sweden
Switzerland
I'm not liking anything in Europe if the SHTF. Because, oh, how do I say this, given the demographic changes of recent years, the problems of the least stable region in the world have been imported, and allowed to grow roots.
