I enjoyed the Elvis music. His vocal backed by the stage band.
The Beatles coreography was superior, but the music was not as fun. It did not help that we had Beatles fans next to us who insisted on singing throughout the performance.
BTW, the "vegas local resident" is dead wrong about "O"...probably the best Dragone show in existance. And, you will never see it in Peoria because it requires a custom pool stage.
Had dinner there tonight. Good foood and service and relatively inexpensive ($100 pp for 3 courses and wine)
I DO NOT recommend Joe's Stone Crab here in Vegas. The one in Miami Beach is excellent. Here, the food is mediocre to awful. The "famous" key lime pie was frozen...had frost crystals in the filling...and the graham cracker crust was so tough that it actually required a fork to be banged with your hand to cut it.
They have never been to a upscale hotel's buffet. The Hotel Sofitel has (had?) a kickin brunch buffet, 20 bucks all the smoked salmon and Bloody Marys you can suck down
I don't ever remember there being a Sofitel hotel in Vegas.
A huge digital billboard on the side of Planet Hollywood where you can text any picture to and have it displayed for about 5 seconds. Dick pic?
Lots of hawkers on the sidewalk selling show tickets...in the midst of the hooker hawkers.
Oh, and the Viva Elvis show is good...much better than the Beatles Cirque show. Fire alarm went off in the middle of Jailhouse Rock tonight and curtain came down for ~ 5 min.
Jesus you're an idiot. Elvis is the worst show Cirque has ever done (except for Criss Angel's turd, which they have disassociated themselves from now). Paris used to have a good buffet but it has gone to shit. Bellagio had the best buffet ever when they first opened, but it has also declined. Still pretty good though.
No, the worst Dragone show is the abortion which accompanies Celine Dion's show. Absolute random "dancing" which is truly annoying.
I have only seen one "win this car" slot promotion, and that was at the Aria. Last time we were here, every casino had at least one car/slot promotion going.

you have money, so why would you be eating at the buffets?
delmonico's at the venetian is awesome.
nobu at hard rock is great.
botero at encore is excellent.
speaking of penny slots when i was there for a tradeshow a few months ago a f500 exec client of ours was up something like $18,000 on "penny slots" [but i guess you play 50 or 100 coins a pull across all the lines] after hitting 3 or 4 jackpots in one night.
poker is also still big. i was surprised to find more than enough 1/3 or 2/5 no limit hold em games at every card room i looked into... aria, caesar's, wynn, bellagio, venetian... i wound up playing at the venetian since we were staying at palazzo which was great.
One buffet just for the sheer bargain of it. Lunch for two cost less than internet for 24 hours.
I can confirm that dancers in cages over slot machines IS a new feature of Vegas....saw it at Caesars.
2 cent slots are new. Penny slots have been around in the best of casinos for several years. But 2 cents...WTF?
The new Cosmopolitan Casino/hotel is really stunning. It just opened a week or so ago and makes use of good lighting and a bunch of crystals suspended from ceilings. I was far more impressed with it's design than I was when I first saw the Wynn.
Lots of the escalators for the pedestrian overpasses are broken. So are some of the elevators. Fun watching the land whales trying to walk up stairs carrying those tall drink glasses.
The lines for buffets are crazy long and 95% asians. They have a 24 hour all-you-can eat deal at various buffets, the best being the one at Paris, where we are staying. We have NEVER seen the line shorter than 200 people long. Stupid fucks buy a 24 hour pass and spend 4 hours standing in lines.
Shelley Berman, the comedian, (remember himb?) is at the Harrahs Improv. He sucks. Big time sucks. Nothing funny about an 85 year old comedian trying to insult the audience.
Ate at the table next to Penn Jillette and his family last night. He is a big guy with hair down to his waist. His wife (?) is a young blond and has two grade school daughters with horn rimmed glasses. He ate a large steak and drank only water.
Was he drinking tap or bottled water?
Tap water. One of the girls was drinking a root beer or coke or some other dark colored soft drink. Rest of the party was on Vegas' best river water.
I don't gamble, but I think that you can play for as little as a penny...however, to get any decent return, you end up playing 25 pennys or more per pull.

Dry the drain/cap with hair dryer. Use chopstick with a gob of epoxy cement on the end. Shove it down onto the cap. Let glue dry for 24 hours. Pull out cap.
You are welcome.
Drain is curved but maybe putting epoxy on a rubber hose? That might work!
Check the epoxy package. I don't think it sticks to rubber too well.
