don't you guys knows that the z series are for women? i don't mean that they're not mechanically sound, but that ... they're marketed to and mostly driven by females. it's like an upscale miata.
i don't think you or your son would enjoy the games i think are worthwhile, because most of them are quite old. that's why i said modern warfare 2. it's the biggest name coming out this season, and the one all his friends will have.
sorry i skipped your post. yeah, i kinda agree. i guess it just depends on how you were introduced to the genre, as well as your specific needs. for example, i and many others use specialty gaming mice for first-person shooters that have different weight cartridges that can be added or removed to change the amount of friction as well as swappable feet and traction pads. i don't think i could ever really teach myself to be comfortable with a gamepad, or be satisfied with a one size fits all solution.
i pretty much have. the only games i still play with any heart are the original quake team fortress and battlefield: vietnam. i can't even really bring myself to play any other shooters. that's why i wanna get into something different.
i'll never "retire" from gaming. i've been playing games my whole life, and probably will until the day i die.
he'll probably be super jazzed if you get him call of duty: modern warfare 2 (coming out soon). all of his friends will have it, so he might as well too.
quake 2 was one of the worst games i've ever played, and i am a beast with the railgun in quakelive. i was playing and making speed run demos of the original quake before you'd even heard of bunny hopping, you sack of shit.
played it with my nephew during a family get together a while back and thought it was mediocre. i don't know how you guys can play first-person shooters with those terrible gamepads. playing with one of those instead of keyboard + mouse is like trying to perform surgery while wearing a baseball glove. that's why there are only a handful of xbox games that allow console gamers to play with their pc counterparts through microsoft live.
hated it. mediocre story, awkward gameplay, terrible writing. total insult to the first two (fo3 was made by a different company), both of which are in my top 5 best games list.
it's ok, but it gets boring hella fast. not many maps, etc. only got about a week's worth of enjoyment out of it before i stopped playing altogether. :/
i don't even bother with counter-strike, bf2, call of duty, quake live, etc. online anymore because i always m-m-m-m-monsterkill every other player. but that's the only sort of online game i've ever been into. real-time strategy is gay and boring, and that warcraft nonsense is untouchably bad. what's left? sim racing? aerial combat?
damn dude i don't think i've mentioned that for quite a while. are you the same person who busted up my anti-military troll the other night? the i-know-more-about-your-moniker-than-you-do guy?
