it was a great read. here's what stuck out at me the most:

prove it to ... ? yourself? the world? what is so flukish about your existence?

youknowwho said: I already love hiking and camping. But when I go again, you'll be in my mind.
I never feel more alert and aware of my existence, more alive, than in the thrill of exploration. I like to get lost on purpose from time to time, letting whatever unexpected place I end up determine what happens and where I go next. If I force myself to do something outside of my normal path, drop myself into a series of accidents that I can't control, it's the only way I can free myself of the confines of my own habitual limits.
I love finding things that belong to people I'll never meet, guessing who they are based on those things. If I find a picture of someone I don't know, or a note that was written to someone else, or even a meaningless grocery list of a stranger, I keep it. In turn, I leave sketches and bits of paper with my thoughts on them for others to find. I often wonder if these have ever meant anything significant to anyone.
My biggest fear is dying and never having had any meaningful positive influence on anything.
that's beautiful.
how big is your ambition to positively influence others? just your peers? a whole country? the world? do you have a personal ideology? are you political at all?

that's the problem. i'm really, really tall. i need a 36" inseam minimum . very few sites carry pants that long, including yours.

you should at least do it on your own. and go hiking and camping in your free time. what do you think?

another thing i'm really into is exploring old abandoned industrial sites, logging sites, prisons & asylums, local ghost towns and frontier camps, and stuff like that. also UFOs, black magic, ghosts and bigfoot. everything that comes out at night.
boo!

it would be way more fun with a sidekick.

youknowwho said: +1 for the hooded robe. You could walk around telling everyone, "Your health is low. Do you have any potions? Or food?" and to "check the guild for more quests."
i used to do stuff like that with my brothers and friends when we were kids. we were all obsessed with pen-and-paper role-playing games like dungeons & dragons. we would act everything out in the forests. primeval forests, with mountains, and rivers, and the ocean ... it was pretty neat.
it's a shame we can't get married. just for the fuck of it, i would definitely wake you up in the middle of a totally forgettable week night -- like a tuesday, at 1:30am, in the middle of summer -- and take you questing.

Never allow yourself to succumb to the luxurious temptation of taking a bath or cleaning your sole garment...
i've always wanted to call over a cable guy or something to hook shit up, yell at him to "come in!" and there's me on the couch wearing a hooded robe, maybe with ashes spread all over my cheeks and beneath my eyes moaning and sobbing, watching mel gibson's the passion.

Just be careful with the sewing machine... don't sew through your finger. I did that once
you any good at sewing? got any tips or machine recommendations?

i'm going to look at making my own clothes. it can't be that hard. i will pirate some cool patterns to follow and make things that fit well.
i've seen the clothes at costco and yeah they are ugly and there's nothing i can do with them. they cater to fatty fat fucks and not at all for tall people

youknowwho,
after looking at all these sites, they're just too expensive for me. i asked her to get me a goodwill card (goodwill is a chain of second-hand clothing stores -- ultra cheap) so i can buy tons of stuff. i will take your suggestions into account and post pics another time. thanks.

I get my Hanes Beefy T shirts here in bulk ($200+ orders only ) for $2.85 a t shirt and they're the best.

If you want to maximize the gift card, H&M is relatively affordable compared to other stores. Eddie Bauer is kind of expensive.
