But that's not how it works. You could use a friend's address. You could stay on your friend's couch for a week while you get your life together or live in your car.
Even if you lose your job and declare bankruptcy, you could get a roommate or live in a weekly rate motel on your unemployment check. If you don't have unemployment, you can qualify for section 8.
You would get a job flipping burgers at McDonald's before you became homeless. You'd get free food and stay in a no-credit-check weekly hotel and you'd be close to broke but you would still not be homeless.
It is so easy to live on that bottom rung of society that the people who are not even doing that are doing it by choice. If you have a sufficient disability and you can't fight it, the government will take you in. You have to actually decline the offer in order to be homeless.
If your solution is so easy why don't you help the homeless follow your plan?
