That's the honeymoon. 2 years later all her cousins move in, when Dmitri The Axe tells you to move into the attic, you do.

"Recorded history" goes back about 300 years. Tree rings and ice core samples and other measuring tools show that current temperatures are on the low side of average, when you actually look across tens and hundreds of thousands of years.

THE WORLD HAS TO STAY THE SAME AS IT WAS WHEN MY GRANDDADDY JOINED THE SOCIALIST WORKERS PARTY!

Interesting, could you elaborate to include agriculture over tens and hundreds of thousands of years?

You have a rod between earth and mars, and lets say it's on a frictionless magnetically levitating somewhat magical rig so you don't have to worry about the mass and inertia very much as you push and pull. Well, Force = Mass x Acceleration. The mass of the rod itself being between here and mars is enormous.

Morse code, traditionally, involves sending electrical signal through a conductive wire. When you "push" an electron on to a wire it's similar to pushing the first boxcar in a long line of boxcars. Why is it not instantaneous?

I just read that the average Facebook visit is 20 minutes, that sounds pretty low. It could be becoming a ghost town like Google+: lots of hits, a huge userbase, impressive stats but really there's not a whole lot going on. I wonder if this is a sort of scare tactic, "Psychologist observe that some people see...", to keep people from deleting their accounts, a statistic they can't hide.

Those sound like "hollywood" games, very heavy on graphics and sound, little on content. If those are the million-dollar drivers that are suffering, than the truly creative games makers may still be doing fine. If the "industry" is in a decline, that may be a good thing for smaller developers.

I think history gives the wrong perspective. History isn't about people but about families, wealthy families, dysfunctional families, opportunistic families or anonymous families, regardless, it's about families over generations, not individualistic uber-men in singular events.

. said:In other words, crime INCREASED.

The only reliable stat for crime is murder. All other crimes - assault, rape, robbery - have widely varying reporting rates based on culture, and how the police decide to classify them.

The only crime that is almost always reported is murder. If there's a dead body in the street with a bullet in its head, it will be reported. That is not always the case if a woman gets raped, or a guy gets punched by a random drunk dude.

If murder increased, that's what matters.

Also there's the folly of summing everything called "crime" and averaging it out throughout the whole country. Remove the Toronto skew and the averages would be different.

"While the crime rates in Toronto are dropping, other cities are seeing a spike, Statistics Canada reported.

Winnipeg, however, had a six per cent increase in the severity of violent crime, giving it the highest rank among census metropolitan areas.

Five other census metropolitan areas recorded increases in the seriousness of violent crime with the largest being reported in Gatineau, Que., and Guelph, Ont.

Western provinces generally reported higher crime rates and crime severity than those in the east."

You can be in any city in the world, and you'll see British pubs, Swiss Rolex watches, German beer gardens, German BMWs & Mercedes, American Nikes, Coca-Cola, iPhones, Microsoft Windows, Starbucks, Walmart, Brazilian restaurants, Korean LG & Samsung phones, Japanese Honda & Toyota cars, Japanese Nintendo Wii, Japanese sushi restaurants, Ethiopian restaurants, French Louis Vuitton bags, products, services, stores, restaurants, bars associated with countries all over the world.

But you'll never see anything that people would identify as Canadian.

That''s simply because Canada's largest corporations tend to produce intermediary or semi-processed goods purchased by other corporations. They tend not to be producers of end-consumer products that the average sepp would be aware of.

OEM is very Canadian. So polite that we'll make you something and you can put your logo on it.
