It has more to do with the workload believe me. Journos have too much to work and so the quality suffers. It is not so much about ethics but more about resources.

Syn-thesis: Two Governments did a light cover up of the whole incident in the web and abroad latter especially the egyptian government. Journalists out of their own opinion and ethics plus pressured by their chief-editors and newsrooms and peers stayed clear of finding the footage.

That is our hypo-thesis. Now basically we must falsificate it...proving it WRONG. Even if your most ardous strenous efforts are not toppling that thesis that this thesis must be TRUE. You say that because you don´t know how Journalists work. You think they are like you or me only with some camera and a block of paper in their hand ;). Journalists have training. Methods. Techniques. To get information. They are skilled workers especially the specialists in the foreign department. In fact you think of journalists as stupid unskilled elephants that just walk into a foreign scene and just trample evidence ;). In fact they are much more like bloodhounds. That is also the reason why you and I would find nothing comparable there. And yes i have a bachelor in journalism...exactly the same basic education 99% of all journalists have and i tell you: It`s only the tip of the iceberg. There is so much to learn.
Look its simple mathematics. ONLY foreign correspondents have access to any evidence in egypt. Okay. How many foreign correspondents do you have in Egypt? From CBS, ABC, CNN and a few others? A few major newspapers? Delete the europeans. Only take the americans and maybe the english. Delete the arabs. They do not seem to have ANY interest in it right now.
So: How many american and english foreign correspondents are in Egypt?

Three dozen journalists are easily able to come to a gentleman´s agreement. PLUS: Their bosses are even less numerous. What will the chief editor in ABC say about the LL story? He will say: PASS on it! What will CNN do? The very same. The newspapers could be a problem but since the scandal in Murdochs newspapers they are playing it super safe. And there you have it. Simple mathematics. A handful of people and only a few companies.

That is what i tried to tell you with grounded opinion: There is simply no buyer base for footage of journalists getting raped or killed. There isn´t. The evidence that in seven months nothing came up supports my grounded opinion. It supports also the grounded opinion that it´s more a reluctance of journalists do not touch the damn thing if they would have found it.

But still you are tiptoeing over the fact that you base your opinions on a warped cynic sense of humanity concerning journalists. No. Compassion has criticized that the other has made GRAMMATICAL and FACTUAL errors. These are much deeper entrenched than a mere SPELLING mistake.
It is like calling someone`s mom an uneducated shallow racist and then getting the return: But your mom is fat!
PS: Ask any Editor what is worse. He will tell you spelling mistakes are common even with big companies and dozens of editors. But a grammatical mistake? This is unforgivable. Or a factual mistake: Even worse.
