Thanks i like your posts too here. And yeah i know that most people believe we are one and the same person but we are not. We are just friends. Sometimes that is all you need to know.
Actually i think her "roll" is just fine thank you very much. And leave Irene in Peace. After being your girlfriend for so long she has at least managed to seek out help and a place in the women shelter and is now free from the abusive relationship with you. Leave her alone please. And leave other women alone too please.
I know. Actually that is okay. I do not need to have sexual relations with really every woman i meet and like. It would become troublesome :) There are other ways to enjoy companionship.
Please, continue in your gentleman mode, and remind this neanderthal that this is not a proper way of talking to the lady. To one of the 2-3 ladies that ever come here.
The ladies you mention are of course welcome here. And you are right the pupose of this thread is also to welcome ladies to broaden our view on several topics. We need some feminine competence here.
Hey, I just got here!
I have not been here for a while.
And I lost a lot of wait since this summer from the aggravation you caused me.
You know, if you talk like that I will sue you for 5-10 lb!!!!
Tell him how you do the workload of a Navy Seal in order to keep in shape. That will teach him! That scoundrel!
No kidding. Too bad you are leaving?
Please do not leave yet!
THey will think you are me or vice versa
When it turns 12:00 AM in Austria, the European turns IDF. Wearwolf stories
i also find european elitist annoying. most of you will say you do if you are being honest. without him stroking his own ego for hours on end every single night this thread would have died like it was supposed to inside of a hundred pages.
Ahhh enemies! That makes a man great. Nonetheless i want to thank you, my fans, and wish you a great evening!
Lara Logan on CBS This Morning. All her foreign report since Egypt is about Afghanistan. What about Egypt?
Avoidance of the place "it" happened. Remember she still suffers. But her piece on Afghanistan is really cool. She has so many contacts there! Way to go, Lara!
Ree I think you ought to write a paper to the American medical Association on trauma, instead of playing self-proclaimed King of this thread and resident psychologist.
I never did play king of any thread least this one enough people have told me what they think of my opinion so i know better than to believe that.
You're dealing with rape which is as old as time and you're trying to explain trauma with 21st-century analysis I'm sure that the crowd that attack Laura was well read college graduates and and all graduated from the finest schools in Egypt, you are dealing with a barbaric act unleashed by barbarians.
Eh? Cancer is as old as time too still we analyze it with modern science. Pregnancy is as old as time but we make sense out of it now with modern thinking. When military secret service was behind that attack you can bet your ass that they knew what they inflicted on her. Being a barbarian does not mean you are not intelligent in inflicting pain.
As far as her colleagues at CBS, damage control was the catchword of the day they did not sit around for four days saying how traumatized I am for Lara I'm so traumatized. We all slow down at car wrecks it's human nature.
It is NOT bullshit. It is science. Compressed theoretical models. There are tons of studies out there that prove or at least deduce that for example friends or relatives of a rape victim are severely affected by it. It is not just curiosity that propels people to write here. It is also a deep sense of hurting for what happened. I assure you 100% that Scott Pelley needed serious help and support after that interview with her. And other colleagues as well. Her husband too. Close friends...are suffering. I assure you even her enemies felt goosebumps running over their backs. There are no enemies in foxholes when the dogs bark outside. That is not me speaking but thousands of psychologists and psychiatrists.
The problem i have with some of your writing is that you believe we are all soulless monsters here and i tell you we are not. Not because there is someone judging with authority that categorizes us as righteous i could not be less interested in THAT.
Do not let yourself be sold too cheaply. There are people who want to regard this board just being full of Nazis and perverts. To some extent that is true. But it is not everything there is to say about it.
What draws people to this story is it a perverse sickness or just mere curiosity, if this was just about and Egyptian citizen or a local news reporter I don't think this story would have lasted this long. But the fact that the story is about CBS's Chief Foreign Middle East Correspondent has peaked worldwide interest.
Actually that is factually incorrect. In middle Europe - Germany, Austria and the like - no one ever heard of Lara Logan. News coverage was almost nil. Sparked world wide interest? NO. But it was a prevalent topic in the USA and in GB and that is all you really need.
And perverse sickness or mere curiosity does not explain everything here. That is almost a illegitimate simplification of the people here. There are also people who want to understand more about the incident to suffer with her. There are people here who are obviously traumatized - they are angry and hate at her attackers even to the point where they are ranting. There are people here that have come to truly like her and what she represents. And so on. There are and there were even women here with very complex reasons altogether.
I believe that Lara Logan and CBS not knowing the future of her career and the state of her marriage and family life crafted the 60 min. interview accordingly. As months passed she received support from her boss, her family and friends and especially her husband, the support of total strangers and colleagues has allowed her to speak more about the attack. Recent events in Egypt, videotape and footage posted on Arab websites and news media has galvanized her story. Whether or not at this time she feels healthy enough to speak more about the event will be on her terms and her terms only. If other evidence such as videotape surfaces she may readdress the issue. Until then we watch we wait and we surmise and hypothesize.
You categorize people so easily in so broad rational ways. The interview was a train accident made by people who were traumatized and shocked to the core about what happened to her. They did not know how to deal with it. There was no Plan B. The support was already there but the helpers and supporters themselves needed support and help (that was not provided that well) and in that light you should see the interview. It was more a "what the fuck...what should...what has happened...how could they do this?...this is Egypt not Somalia! Oh my god...!" Situation all the way. They were rattled.
News are buzzing that the confirmed 71 dead during the soccer match were victims of a plan hatched by the Egyptian military authorities to either a) heighten the chaos in Egypt and thus legitimate the still military dominated rule or b) to avenge themselves on the soccer club "Ultra" that played a big role in the Tahrir Protests.
It is NOT that. Nobody is picking on you. It is just very important i think to talk about this. Look...no girl or woman is going to tell the truth when we do not meet them halfway. If we see them as somehow damaged and not valuable anymore after a rape we make a bad situation into a catastrophe. That is important stuff to remember for all of us when we someday get into such a situation with our wives/girlfriends.
A wife/girlfriend being raped cannot "willingly surrender". She is being coerced. Her choice is simple : fight and get seriously injured (and then raped) or don't put up a fight and hope that the surrender will satiate the blood lust of the attacker. It is a choice between bad alternatives but one that has to be made by the wife/girlfriend. Some empathy on the part of the man is the appropriate response.
Yeah. Honestly Pee on my Leg that is not good thinking like this. I know you see it from a sexual side but still...when your wife/girlfriend got raped it is your DUTY as a boyfriend/husband to stand by her. That is NOT negotiable. To see her in some way as a willing partner of the rapist...that is not good at all.
Hypothetically speaking...when a girl gets threatened with a knife to force her into oral penetration (blowjob) then her husband should not obsess about the sexual part. I mean it is okay to ALSO include the sexual part in your thinking. But to only obsess about that! That is not only unfair to the woman but also unhealthy and potentially damaging not only for the relationship but also for the personal development of the man.
Most would want to assault her from behind which serves two purpose, one to conceal their faces, and two the ass POV with easy access to her vagina and anal for assault.
Ahh come on that is just your fantasy. IN her case nobody gave a damn about concealing anything. It was too late for that.
