He wont confirm his story and when confronted changes it up so that the questions are not answered. That or he ignores the questions completely because I have asked several and he was either vague in his answers or did not answer at all.
wow, some interesting reading and love how they defend the abusers and blame the victim. I know that none of this was Lara's fault and that she was a target from the weeks before. It was also a warning to other journalist that if you mess with the egyptian military they will find you
I dont think so because she ended up at the Museum. look at this map and follow Meret Basha from the square and if you figure that Témoris claimed he was 150 yards from square and 100 yards from the tanks then that shortens the viewing area but also leaves 3 side streets and one alley http://nationalpostnews.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/fo0202_tahrir_square.jpg?w=620&h=495
Abd Al Salam AREAF runs cockeyed into Meret Basha and she was taken down Meret Basha but there is two other side streets and alley way down that way across from the construction site and before the road infront of the museum
so true he contridicts himself over and over in his first post right after it was reported and think alot of that is his hatered for Lara and the mainstream media but still leads me to believe he did see her just the way he described her trying to be in control and it was not a group of ladies but teens that saved her was his hatered
I agree for my thought is what he saw was just a few seconds and still using his hatred to mask the fact that what he saw was far from the end for even his words he said he tried to follow but couldnt and being a journalist you dont let a story like this get by for either she was having a good time and having fun with the crowd which would be news or she was being forced down a street which would make for even a better story but either way you being a journalist would follow it for a possible lead. The fact he did not was either he is a poor journalist who let his hatered for LL blind him or he is a poor journalist who is better suited behind a desk writing wantads. either way you look at it he is not a good journalist but that does not mean he did not see something. Rather it be his hatered or poor choices I seen his pictures from that night and they were all early on before midnight but it was from that area.
another possible thought indeed and it would also be plausible. It also depends on how long it took to change the battery and locate the mob if that footage is after the fact. It is not for sure that video is after the fact for it is still real dark and if the camera was up and running correctly the light would have been on but clearly the light was not on when that footage was shot.
I agree that the two stories conflict in a big way but she also has a good reason to lie about when she was stripped and it may not have been her but the upper people who wrote her interview because being stripped early means smaller time frame were as being taken somewhere and stripped would mean longer time frame and more brutal attack. I also agree he does have an agenda that is against Lara and could also be jealous that he does not work for CBS. His story is full of holes and does conflict with lots of other reports and even in his own report he said she was trying to control it and he tried to run along but was forced back which means she was not trying to control anything and the group was forcing her along. The chance is he did not see anything but if he did and was correct on what he saw with her still being dressed then like I have felt from the start was that she was stripped else where.
so true for I have found that most newspaper articles or any articles either crossreference other articles or papers and a few blogs that have been reported as fiction. Not very journalistic at all if you ask me.
So if you follow Temoris directions on where he was that night he was closer to the tanks then the banner and more near the construction site then the building to the right. If you follow that logic and being that between him and the tanks there were 3 roads to the right and one alley way then you could figure if he did see her still clothed and moved past him then they took her some where down the street and stripped her there. This leads to a lot longer time period then what CBS gave for they said stripped right away then returned 25 minutes later. Even following Temoris distance if she went by him and was in the crowd and made it to the tanks it would still have taken some time to get back and that does not take into consideration them removing her cloths and assaulting her. If Temoris did see her or was just using this to gain noteriety for bashing Lara and CBS. You must also figure that he being a journalist and seeing something like that and not letting anyone know or help her is both a coward thing to do and not very journalistic because those people see something and follow along and try to see if there is a story there not get tea and think everything was fine.
Well I think Temoris may have seen something and he even said he tried to follow but was held back by the group which he then says were only helping her. For being a reporter who should always be on the look out for stories he sure did not follow up on it or even try to figure out what was going on so I think he is less then useful but if he did see her then she was stripped later.
I also don't think that she had much say so on what would be reported in the interview and think that the higher ups at CBS were looking to spin this a certain way and make it seem less of a brutal attack and more like severe groping because they did not want to look like they sent one of their reporters into a place with out proper safety and also maybe the government wanted them to spin it in such a way as to point more towards thugs then secret police.
Well it is not the fire wall that is the problem it is the black list on meta data which searchs for dates, times, gps, and so forth in any pictures and videos uploaded and if anything matchs the list then it is flaged and removed. But I have said before that the best way we may end up getting anything is from a hacker because they go into computers and take them over and view the files. Most phone pictures and video and other pictures and video get loaded onto computers to be edited or uploaded to the web. It would also be a good way to get the rest of CBS footage by having hackers gather that footage from CBS computers along with memos and notes they would have on what happened.
not exactly a lie because she said that they were raping me with their hands then she gave into the sexual assault to save herself so she did not lie but made it sound more like the worst of it was the hand raping but then minimalised it so that people would focus on the hand rape and miss the give in part.
that is if she said the thing about the pants to scare the attackers into thinking that DNA could convict them and maybe prevent them from posting videos for fear it might lead to them. they slide some stuff in just to make those who did it nervous and worried that they may end up being arrested and face death. For earlier she said they ripped her pants off yet later they were in the hospital.....many questions?
I think that it was much more extreme then what most would see but also think it was better organized then we have been led to believe. They even called it when the fixer said that they were in danger and heard them say that the crowd wanted to take her pants off but from my understanding they were saying french word for gang rape not only to beable to grab her from her team but distract them and take her away takes team work
I agree that what ever happened was extreme and will not only change the way we look at her but the thugs or government goons that did this. That would be because everything in the 60 minute interview was worded and phrased so that it belittled the event and made it not as bad as it could have been. I think this is so when the footage pops out they can say well we did not know it was that bad. I think when people see what she went through they will not only have a stronger respect for her but more a dislike for the attackers.
