so some moron at the DMV ISN'T making $15 an hour it's closer to $70 an hour once we include the legacy pension costs.

do you see how silly this is yet?

prolly not

However, while GM recently has reportedly pointed out that its labor cost figure includes benefits to current retirees, the media continue to repeat the $70 or more per hour myth.

The evil advocacy groups are those that pretend to be for something they are not. Both Obama and Romney pretend to be for the 'little people', teachers' unions pretend to be 'for the children', the Sierra Club pretends to be for the environment while pretending that massive immigration is not a problem, TV preachers pretend to care about your soul.

We are surrounded by liars.

We are surrounded by liars, we hate what they make us, but we have become what they want us to be......sheep.

There will come a time when people will not give a fuck and dismantle this sham political process.

I have not said anything about the bankers, but since you ask, I have the following to offer.

Indict the bankers and imprison them and hang them for their crimes if found guilty.
Same with the politicians.

This is exactly what Obama wants..class warfare to protect his 47% base.

You people are too stupid to live in America.

http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2008/12/uaw-workers-actually-cost-the-big-three-automakers-70-an-hour

The United Auto Workers (UAW) wants Congress to bail out General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler to prevent their undergoing restructuring in bankruptcy proceedings. In bankruptcy, a judge could order union contracts to be renegotiated to reflect competitive realities. Many analysts have objected that hourly autoworkers at the Big Three are some of the most highly paid workers in America, costing the Big Three over $70 an hour in wages and current and future benefits. All taxpayers should not be taxed to preserve the affluence of a few.
Some observers argue that UAW members do not actually earn this much.[1] They argue this figure includes the cost of benefits paid to current retirees as well as wages and benefits paid to current workers and that the actual hourly earnings of current UAW members are much lower. This is a mistaken interpretation of the financial data released by the Detroit automakers.

Yah, when the so called blue collar workers think they are entitled to get 60 bucks and hour to put hubcaps on a GM car and lose out to Toyota and Honda, they are not winning any friends. The rest got brainwashed into thinking the unions and democrat were on their side.
I hope what happened in Wisconsin, will spread everywhere or the blue collar worker is finished.

Most blue collar workers make nowhere near 60 bucks an hour.

You really ought to be ashamed of yourself.

I did not say most. I said bluecollar workers are in a grip of the democrat party like its something sacred.

Look at the GM history before the bailout. They were getting paid to sit in the rec room and not work at all.
It will happen again. GM is being propped up by the tax payer. Its an epic fail.

Mr_Right said:That point he is making is a lie. Republican party is to the working tax payer what the democrat party is to the welfare prince and unions.

I don't own a business. At the same time, I am far from poor.

I cannot identify with the Republican Party in any way, shape or form. My family came here as immigrants. We did very, very well. I think that opportunity should exist for others that want to pursue it. I don't think the old and infirm should be left out on the street to die. I don't think of women as second class citizens. I want to see everyone in this country do well. Not just a chosen few.

That is why I am a member of the Democratic Party.

You are out of touch from your family. I don't know how many generations ago your family got here, but I am a immigrant and I know there are two kind of immigrants.
I think your family belongs to the same kind that I do......someone who will not look at the government for assistance, but hope it will not create obstacles for me to succeed and mind my own business.
The Democrat Party is catering to the other kind of immigrants....the free loaders and the welfare recipients, the ones who will spit out babies to get free money and free medical services, so they will be voting democrat for generations. Just like the blacks, jews, unions workers and blue collar workers, the Democrat party has a formula it uses to get voters dependent on the government for generations.
Talk to your father or grandfather or the one who came here so you will know the truth.

No, Union workers are overheads that feel entitled and are a pain for the taxpayers.
Anyone who lives off the taxpayer is not a real worker.

For the fact is that the modern Republican Party just doesnt have much respect for people who work for other people, no matter how faithfully and well they do their jobs. All the partys affection is reserved for job creators, a k a employers and investors. Leading figures in the party find it hard even to pretend to have any regard for ordinary working families who, it goes without saying, make up the vast majority of Americans.

you know, i hate the guy but you just can not argue with this point.
