Dude. I think you're seriously underestimating what it takes to run a farm. 61 acres is a LOT of land that requires a ton of maintenance. I know a guy who grows blueberries for a living on a smaller piece of land than that, I think 20 acres. That shit is a fulltime job when they're in swing. His picking season just ended a few weeks ago (Florida.)
Sure, you can make money with a farm, but it takes knowing how to run it. People may think farmers are rubes, but they still know what they're doing. Just "having help from some family" doesn't cut it unless they plan on being there many hours a day to do things.
