There was a tribute album for Roky Erikson that had ZZ Top, REM, Butthole Surfers, Julian Cope, lots of good stuff on there.

Remember Voice of the Beehive?

I hated that band. This was more my kind of music.

A friend of mine's wife interviewed him in the early 1990's. He said a lot of drugs, vast quantities went into writing and producing Peggy Suicide. Particularly this song...

Yes, a small amount of sugar should be in bread otherwise it would be too bland.

Sugar is added to bread's proofing liquid to stimulate the yeast activity. It's not absolutely necessary, but it helps wake the yeast up from its freeze dried slumber.

No, I go to relax and hang out with friends and family. Probably not this year, it's an election year. They'll probably have to come to me.

Then I had to use Target brand Beer Bread, which was edible but not great. Then they discontinued that.

I remember that. It was just 3-4 years ago. Great stuff.

Arnold's Wheat Berry does not taste the same. It's tailored to East Coast tastes.

The Orowheat version is a dense, darker bread.

Cuisinart makes a nice breadmaker. I'm thinking of getting one and just baking my own. I think it makes 2 pound loaves.

I buy Milton's bread at Costco and Trader Joe's. It's good for everyday things, sammys, toast.

This is my favorite store-bought bread, though. I can't get it back here, so I get it when I go out to Cali.

If you wash it then just add a little to other greens, it's ok. The texture probably bothers people.

Frisee is nice if it is added to a salad mix, or to use as a garnish for something.
Sometimes I serve a prime rib on a large platter with frisee and crabapples.

You can buy them in supermarkets, but they aren't fresh and they are laced with pesticides.
