She's not allowed to attend. Otherwise, great point Teabadger.
I must apologize. Republicans attract the morons in this country. They were so excited to post about her non-attendance and were too stupid to check the laws for Secretary of State.
Federal law -- the Hatch Act of 1939, amended by Congress in 1993 -- specifically prohibits secretaries of state from attending political conventions, and the State Department's own ethics guidelines also rule out political activity.
I've worked in the business for years, and I think you're full of shit. What the DNC has produced is one Southern Preacher after another, whipping the sheeple into a glazed frenzy. There is virtually no difference in production values between the Repubs and Dems. One's own preferences and prejudices are creating that illusion.
Good for you! i wouldn't trust you with any creative decisions.
Yeah...being able to tap into a brand DNA is pretty useful. The GOP has decided to rebrand with no manifesto, no brand platform...cutting the cord with their past.
Their message is confused and muddled. No clarity or concise policy.
Slick, relevant, focused and on message. And you're right about the talent. More creative. They have created a sequence of presentations that works given the current climate. Positive, poignant and contiguous.
I left work, came home, stopped to get some beer and take out food, and i cannot believe they are still ripping into you.
I have never seen you post anything racist. You are usually upbeat and positive. As i said, i don't agree with you politically, but I don't think you meant to slag the First Lady off. You just made a post that has drawn controvesy. And that is ok. That is why we discuss things.
I can't help but think that if Quence or JWB or some other male poster made this thread, it would have sunk like a stone.
Keep posting, Dot. And say whatever you want here. Despite our political differences, you are a cool chickie.
I think they envy you because you have been around a long time, married a good guy, had a lot of fun meeting other FCers, and are very pretty.
You're a cool chick, too.
We're cooler than shit. Which is why we get ripped on.
I haven't posted as a dot in this thread or the others about me, and have never posted a single racist thing on this or any other board.
While there was no clear consensus on the actual cost of her clothing, it took five pages for someone to say Michelle Obama didn't even mention wealthy people in her speech. I really thought she did. I didn't know the photo was from a right-wing blog; it was merely a link I found in the comments section of a news story I was reading this morning, and I found it thought provoking.
That still doesn't change my belief that BOTH candidates are divorced from reality, and the struggles of the common man. As I've said before, I won't be voting for Romney or Obama.
Some of you guys need to get better drugs or chicks or whatever it'll take to chill the fuck out. I know it's a slow Thursday, but man.

I may not agree with her politically, but then again that's not a requirement for me with people. If you try to drive everyone you don't agree with off the board, there won't be anyone left.
And the nutjobs wonder why there are so few hens here
Exactly. Now they will follow her around and call her names and tell her how ugly she is because of a simple disagreement.
THERE ARE NO HENS ON F2
\
So you are throwing your chips in with the psychopath who uses the term "ape face" twenty times per post? Michelle Obama is also a
woman, remember.
Im not throwing my chips with anyone. I just think it is silly to.get stuck on this. Dotmatrix posted something, she was corrected, and lets just move on. She has been here a long time, she is a good poster generally and why belabor it?
It's not about political disagreement. I'm not even a Democrat. Her character is the problem - as exemplified by posting a topic like this one. It's just sketchy and underhanded.
I may not agree with her politically, but then again that's not a requirement for me with people. If you try to drive everyone you don't agree with off the board, there won't be anyone left.

Dotmatrix is the one who started posting right wing bullshit and propaganda here, it is not a female thing it is calling out some passive/aggressive right wing asshole who thinks she gets a free pass by posting neo-con propaganda.
She is a big girl, she knows what she posted, she tries to play it off as just innocent comments, but it wasn't, it was 100% underhanded, Rush Limbaugh style propaganda.
Well stated.
I may not agree with her politically, but then again that's not a requirement for me with people. If you try to drive everyone you don't agree with off the board, there won't be anyone left.
I heard that it was $350. John Sununu made a big deal out of it being more expensive, but I'm not sure how much he knows about fashion. It was probably comped to her by the designer.
Do I say that I'm a wealthy bitch married to a British Diplomat and high up in the Obama campaign?
No, I don't
Mascara does
I work with the Obama campaign, but i also work with other campaigns. Right now i just finished something for Joe Kennedy III.
He's running for Barney Frank's seat.
