which is hobbled for the reasons explained above. Sounds to me like the same shit corporations can do with off-balance sheet entities. What good is a balance sheet or an audit that doesn't tell the whole story? Also, why are their meeting minutes kept secret for five years? They're not a private company, or if they are, why are they entrusted with control of the nation's money supply?

Ironically I'm not even the dot who was complaining about the Fed being audited. IMO it doesn't matter whether you audit them or not. They could admit that they monetized 50 tons of flaming dog shit and they public would yawn.
