Honestly, I think that the game industry is going to dry up because at first it gave people a way to explore and be free within a sandbox, but now I think that expectations are so high that these sandboxes feel very limiting. 99% of the reason that people play games like World of Warcraft is because of the social aspect. The other 1% consists of story and gameplay. Once your friends leave, the world becomes a nostalgic empty world, you realize that it wasn't the game that was fun, it was the people you played with.

Eventually you realize that games really aren't that fun and you're missing out on real life itself.
