There's about three places I go to;

http://lecrocodilerestaurant.com/

The best in Vancouver... I go maybe once every month and a half. The staff know me my name.

Probably the best mid price place with a real chef is Le Fleuri at the Sutton on Burrard. There's a big movie studio that rents three floors at all times so you'll see everybody who's anybody visiting Vancouver there particularly at breakfast. Sunday morning breakfast is the best time. Buy a bottle at their wine shop out front and get a wine club card. Then use that at Le Fleuri and you'll get your partner's meal free. It makes me laugh to think people are paying the same for breakfast at Denny's that I'm getting at Le Fleuri..

For Japanese food I like the Kamei Royale.

Hmmm.. those places seem a bit too upscale for me.

I would feel weird eating at those places by myself, especially if I'm walking in with t-shirt and jeans.

My entire wardrobe consists of Abercrombie & Fitch cargo shorts, Hanes beefy T shirts, Saloman approach shoes, and a Patagonia R Series pile jacket. My photograph on my NEXUS card makes me look exactly like Senator McCain. :frown:

I go wherever i want. i'm too old to give a shit what people think of me.

I would say that Crocodiles is pretty upscale.

Probably if you want a good meal I'd say go to Le Fleuri and get a wine club card. It's an awesome deal.

I'm not looking for expensive places.

I want a good variety of mid-priced restaurants. Similar to East Village, Manhattan.

And what kind of cuisine is Vancouver known for? Seafood?

I know a guy that lives in this building. I also ran into a judge that was selling his place for $400k in there. It's an awesome place..

That place must have some awesome views.

Holy fuck I'll say...the guy that I know that lives there is on the 27th floor facing the N. Shore. On a clear day you can see from Vancouver Island in the West to the Second Narrows Bridge and Golden Ears in the East.

Coal Harbor...yeah that's nice. If you want to live near Stanley park then live West of Denman not east of it. But you'll pay a lot more there.

You should look at the south end of the Cambie Bridge..

Cost is no object.

I would live in the magenta areas if you want to live the way you say you want to live and be relatively happy peaceful and price is no object

 I'm just trying to help you dude. If i was going to leave NY i'd go someplace like Santa Fe or something but if you want to come by all means do so. Vancouver is "no fun city".

Bullshit.

Even though I've never been to Vancouver, I've researched the city extensively, and I know everything about the place.

I'm coming from NYC, which generally gets 4" of rain per month.

http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/wxclimatology/monthly/graph/USNY0996

Vancouver only gets significantly more rain from Nov-Feb. Four months per year.

http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/wxclimatology/monthly/graph/CAXX0518

You can't bullshit me. You can't stop me from moving to Vancouver.

You could get a much cheaper place in New Westminister and be near the Skytrain station for quick access to downtown.

Best to go to an actual store, and try the various sizes, and see what size fits best, and whether you find it comfortable.

UnderArmour is worn by athletes.

You are a bitter old man in Vancouver.

Don't get me wrong...it's the best...all the NFL players wear it...but it's kind of like wearing a board shirt when you're not surfing.

Only douchebags wear it casually..

When did Ben's Housing Bubble Blog and Mish start talking about this? When did I realize the connection between irrational investors, tent cities, and Hondas while ranting to Auric Goldmember? It might have been (publicly) as late as 2004.........

painted with airbrush and paint brush

And you can bet it's not all one piece...he had to sculpt it in Zbrush, export the .ztl file but cut it up strategically for making molds then do the 3d printing of the pieces in liquid polymer then use it to make molds, and then cut away the injector frames and then polish it up, assemble it with glue, putty it and paint it in layers.

here is the stuff that is made with liquid polymer...it's much lighter and smooth but it requires supports to hold it up while it's being assembled in the liquid matrix...so you'll have to cut away the supports with a Dremel tool and finish it then use it for making a mold for casting
