OK. So let's be clear. The packages I dumped into the Package Carousel thing at 9am all got processed at 10am. Ok.

The bigger packages I left on the counter at the same time have no record at all. It's now almost 3am.

Yeah.

USPS picks my packages up from my house, I call, they come.

Not sure if there is a weight limit though.

I have a pretty deep mailbox and it was full of my orders so I thought I'd take them to the PO myself since my mailman doesn't come around until around noon. Also, one of the big packages didnt fit in the box.

Also, I like to have orders go out the same day. But yeah fuck it, from now on, the mailman picks up the orders. I'll update my shipping policy.

So Zero votes for the packages coming back to me?

I once sent a package to a guy in Russia. He specified that it be sent via ground, which means by ship of course. I tell him that could take over a month and he's cool with it.

As soon as it leaves the country he opens a claim. I provide a tracking number to show it's in transit.

The claim "expires" while the package is still on the ship, he gets a full refund. I wait for the tracking number to show that the item has arrived and appeal the decision. Paypal denies the appeal.

:punchballs:

PAYPAL SCAMMER PROTIP: Keep ZERO money in your PayPal account and as little as possible in the bank account linked to it. Do a daily xfer to a different account. You can run scams via paypal indefinitely.

It's 2am, man. I had like 20 orders there today at 9am. 15 that I sent through the slot, those are tracked and en route. The 5 high value ones I put on the counter WITH HOPES I WAS FOLLOWING FUCKING INSTRUCTIONS ON THE GOD DAMN SLOT DOOR SAYING 13 OZ WAS THE LIMIT, those are not active in the system.

Katalyst said:Don't get bitter until you hear an explanation tomorrow.

What gets me bitter is when I do everything right, and a shipping company or Paypal acknowledges I did everything right, yet I still get screwed by them.

Example: I sold a damaged item which was clearly labeled as damaged on Ebay. In the title, in the description and in the photos. No warranty was written in large, red letters.

Buyer opens a claim that the item is damaged. Paypal reviews the claim, decides neither side is at fault, yet offers the buyer a full refund.

I'm out the item, the sale and the shipping cost. But I'm not at fault.

That's bitter.

Re PayPal: I ordered some items from a company. Company never sends. I initiate PayPal Resolution. They find in my favor. Total results? FUCK YOU, that's what. They have my money but I am supposed to be satisfied with this "ruling?" BONUS FUCK YOU: I still get promotional emails from them.

I considered that. I checked all the other orders that I took in. Only the big ones that I left at the counter haven't been processed. It's as if they were never there.

Yeah. I am in that headspace right now. It's very bitter, buddy.

I also ship FedEx but they're very expensive. Most of my orders go out at around $4 for shipping. I don't fault the USPS, just this particular office.

Well yeah. That's how it works. You take an order. You package it up and print the postage. Having it ordained by some flunky cunt behind the counter? Yeah, that's not usual.

I was getting so excited about my little business. I thought holy shit, I'm doing 5k/week and I'm only just starting! I was thinking I could double that with hardly any effort at all. Then holy shit, I'm running a $250k/yr business all of a sudden! Then THIS. God damn it. I'm sick. I'll see if I can drink enough to sleep tonight.

You think it's possible the PO worker saw they were not checked in and so sent them back to my address? Can there be hope?

I KNOW THIS NOW! It seemed like it was a common practice there and the deathly slow worker would fucking appreciate not having to deal with me and my abundance of big ass packages.

All the other ones were checked in this morning. The important ones remain unaccounted for. I will definitely be there tomorrow to follow-up. God help me.

Katalyst said:Ahh, okay, I understand. Damn, I wouldn't trust that. I wouldn't walk out of a post office without some kind of proof that I just dropped them off. Because the moment the package leaves my hands it's out of my control. I want to be able to say to the destination "Look, I dropped it off, that's where my responsibility ends".

I don't live around lots of scumbags. It's a pretty high-end, White, part of town. I've seen other people leave lots of packages there before, obviously sales from their company.

Lesson learned, big time. I am going to cancel my PO box at this place and go to the next one, only a little further away. In my experience, they only have 2 sassy negro women and 1 old white woman manning the registers anyway and the line is ALWAYS out the door.

But yeah, fuck me.

das but said:Dayumb son. That's business too, nobody gives a shit about any story. They just want their gifts that they paid for.

The alafaya post office in Orlando had machines that you put your packages on, pay with debit card, get the sticker and then a drop box for stuff because the lines were always ridiculously long. But that was the only post office I saw in Orlando with those machines. It was perfect because you could go in at 2am and send out a package.

I used to use that machine but then I bought a printer and now do it all at home. Either way, packages over 13 oz are prohibited from that drop box. I've put big orders in there before but this time I had quite a few so I thought I'd follow the rules. Yeah, fuck me.
