This was the obvious result of the 'global economy'. Either the powers who sold it to the masses were short sighted or did not give a fuck about the American middle class. Either way it is criminal. There is a reason why we have sovereign nations: to take care of yourself first.
Obama got elected on false promises. Romney should do the same and appear moderate. Once he gets in office, he should do a 360 and transform into a right wing Hitler.
Not really, I just don't have that much use for a mobile internet connection. My work and home offices are filled with plenty of tech exotica for that kind of fix, so I get no joy from a low performance handheld browser.
No doubt, there's a generational difference between people who spend a lot of time every day on the phone and those who don't. For one thing, there's the expectation of instant responses to calls/messages/emails.
Purely as an experiment, I signed up my wife and I for Verizon/Droid phones for a couple of years. I can't say that having a data plan and paying $130/month is worth enough more than a couple of $10/month prepaid phones to be worth the money.
I'm giving it a shot, but I'll probably turn this shit off at the end of the contract.
The only "app" needed to be installed client-side is a browser. On the desktop, you don't need a separate app to access Google maps vs Amazon vs youtube, etc. It will be the same on mobile (and is already, actually).
What I'm saying is, the apps that are there now won't be there in the future, because developers are not making money from them. There is no reason to support a failing product, and they will abandon them.
There are plenty of iOS exclusive apps, just google it.
No, there are high quality apps that aren't free on the iOS. Android is all free for some stupid reason, so it only attracts amateurs who make no profit from it, thus the software is shit.
You like to thank for getting screwed. Name one iphone app and I will show you an equivalent android app.
